Terms and Conditions
BOOKING CONDITIONS
- The reservation becomes effective only after receipt of the deposit and after receipt of either the duly completed and signed reservation contract, or after acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale when booking online.
- In the event of non-payment of the deposit at the time of booking or of the balance at the latest 30 days before the start of the holiday by the customer, the campsite reserves the right to cancel the booking and to offer the accommodation for rent again.
- Reservations are only binding on the Domaine de Mesqueau if the manager of the Domaine de Mesqueau has accepted them, which the manager of the Domaine de Mesqueau is free to do or to refuse, depending on availability and, in general, on any circumstances likely to affect the execution of the reservation made. The Domaine de Mesqueau offers family holidays, in the traditional sense, and the accommodation is specially designed for this purpose. The manager of the Domaine de Mesqueau reserves the right to refuse any booking which is contrary to this principle, or which seeks to deviate from it.
- Reservations for camping pitches or rental accommodation are made on a strictly personal basis. Under no circumstances may you sublet or transfer your booking without the prior consent of the Domaine de Mesqueau manager.
- Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
- The choice of a specific pitch or accommodation can only be made according to our capacity on your arrival.
Camping pitches
- The basic package includes a pitch for a tent, a caravan for 1 or 2 people, 1 vehicle, access to sanitary facilities and reception facilities. Campervans, vans, converted vehicles (cars, vans, lorries) and double-axle caravans are not permitted on the entire estate.
- The number of people on a pitch is limited to 6. The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than that stipulated in the contract.
Rental accommodation
- All rental accommodation has a shower, toilet and kitchenette, and is equipped with a fridge, hob, cooking utensils, crockery, duvet and pillow.
- The basic package is for 1 to 6 people, depending on the type of accommodation chosen. The package includes water, gas, electricity and access to the reception facilities, entertainment and pool area.
- Domaine de Mesqueau reserves the right to refuse access to accommodation to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than the capacity of the accommodation rented.
- All our accommodation is in pedestrian areas. Access by car is not permitted, even for loading or unloading.
- Tents are not permitted on mobile home or cottage pitches.
- Smoking is not permitted in the accommodation.
GROUP BOOKINGS
- Any booking of more than 2 accommodations or pitches by the same individual or by different individuals who know each other and are travelling together for the same reasons on the same dates of stay is considered to be a group.
- The accommodation and pitches offered on the website are intended exclusively for individual customers.
- For all group reservation requests, you must contact the Domaine de Mesqueau by telephone on 02 98 67 37 45 or by email: info@mesqueau.com. The Domaine de Mesqueau manager reserves the right to examine the booking request before accepting or refusing it.
RATES AND TOURIST TAX
- The prices shown are valid for the season. Prices are subject to change. The contractual price is always that fixed at the time of booking. Our prices are dynamic and vary according to demand. The price you book is the price in force at the time of booking. No refund will be made if prices subsequently fall, nor will a supplement be paid if they rise.
- Our prices include VAT. The VAT applicable to our accommodation and pitch rental rates is 10%, subject to regulatory changes.
- Our prices do not include tourist tax or the contribution for household waste. For information in 2024, the tourist tax is €0.61/night/adult. The contribution for household waste is €0.50/night person.
- The booking fee for rentals and bare pitches is €15.
- Additional costs: extra person, extra vehicle, pets, etc. are not included in the package and will be added to it. Our prices do not include tourist tax or the contribution for household waste.
- Payment methods accepted: cash, cheque, bank card (Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard), holiday vouchers, bank transfer. Cheques are not accepted within 30 days of arrival.
- Last-minute bookings: all bookings made less than 30 days before the date of arrival must be paid in full by credit card only.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
- For bookings made more than 30 days before the start of the holiday, a deposit of 30% of the price of the services booked must be paid at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the holiday.
- For bookings made less than 30 days before the start of the holiday, full payment must be made at the time of booking (30% deposit + balance of the holiday).
- In the event of non-payment of the deposit at the time of booking or of the balance no later than 30 days before the start date of the holiday by the customer, the village reserves the right to cancel the booking and relet the accommodation.
NO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
- In accordance with article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, Le Domaine de Mesqueau informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date, or at a specific frequency, is not subject to the provisions relating to the 14-day cooling-off period.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
- Changes to your booking Customers may request changes to their holiday: dates, type of accommodation, options, on written request to the campsite (by post or e-mail), subject to availability and the campsite's possibilities.
- No postponements will be accepted for the following season. If no change is made, the customer will be obliged to stay as originally booked or to cancel under the terms of the cancellation insurance.
- Any request to increase the length of your stay will be subject to availability and the current rates.
- Any request to reduce the length of your stay is considered as a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation and interruption of stay conditions.
Unused benefits
- In the event of an interrupted or shortened stay for one of the following reasons: Administrative closure of the campsite, closure of borders by administrative decision, limitation of travel to a number of kilometres by administrative decision not allowing travel to the campsite, a voucher for the amount of the unused nights, valid for two years, will be issued by the campsite. If the customer refuses this voucher, he/she will be reimbursed, on request, for the corresponding amount less the cost of cancellation insurance if this has been taken out. Apart from the reasons mentioned above, any stay interrupted or shortened (late arrival, early departure) due to the customer's fault will not give rise to a refund or a voucher.
Cancellation by the campsite.
- In the event of cancellation by the campsite, except in cases of force majeure, the sums paid for the reservation will be reimbursed in full. However, this cancellation cannot give rise to the payment of damages.
Cancellation by the camper
- In the event of cancellation by the camper, the conditions for cancellation and reimbursement are as follows. All cancellation requests must be sent by post to the postal address of the Domaine de Mesqueau campsite or by e-mail. Cancellations made by telephone cannot be taken into account. Any cancellation will result in the cancellation of the booking and the campsite reserves the right to offer the accommodation for rental again.
- Cancellations made up to 31 days before the start of the holiday. The deposit of 30% of the total cost of the stay + booking fees + any cancellation insurance taken out will be retained by the campsite as cancellation charges.
- Cancellation less than 31 (thirty) days before arrival: All sums paid will be retained by the campsite. No refunds will be made. If the customer does not arrive at the campsite within two days of the start of the date of their stay and without having informed the campsite by letter or e-mail beforehand, the reservation will be considered cancelled by the customer. The campsite therefore reserves the right to re-let the accommodation.
- In the event of cancellation of the holiday, the amount paid in holiday vouchers cannot be reimbursed in accordance with Article L.112-14 I. of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
- In the event of cancellation by the camper with a cancellation guarantee. The sums paid are covered by the guarantee in accordance with the general cancellation conditions. If the reason is not covered by the cancellation insurance or if the file is refused by it, the general terms and conditions of sale described above apply and the cost of the cancellation insurance will be deducted from the sums paid in the event of cancellation.
Cancellation and insurance cover
- An optional cancellation guarantee can be taken out at the same time as the booking. It covers the reimbursement of sums paid by the customer for the booking, excluding administration and insurance costs.

YOUR STAY
Arrival
- On the day of your arrival at Domaine de Mesqueau, you will be welcomed from 3pm. For rental accommodation, you will be asked to pay a deposit of €300 by credit card or cash when you collect the keys. Cheque deposits are not accepted. A €50 bank deposit is required for camping pitches.
- On arrival, you must check your accommodation and inventory. You must return the completed and signed inventory form to reception no later than the morning after your arrival. To avoid any misunderstandings, please inform reception of any discrepancies. Any complaints made after this time will not be taken into account. The inventory will be checked by us on your departure.
During your stay
- It is the camper's responsibility to take out insurance: campers are responsible for looking after their personal belongings (bicycles, etc.). The campsite declines all responsibility in the event of an incident for which the camper is liable.
- All customers must comply with the internal regulations, which are displayed at the campsite reception. In the event of failure to comply with these rules, the campsite manager may, at his discretion, terminate the contract.
- Children must always be supervised by their parents.
- Children are not allowed in the campsite swimming pools unless accompanied by an adult.
- Visitors must go to reception and pay an entrance fee of €2 per person. Visits are permitted between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.; visitors do not have access to the campsite swimming pools.
- All tenants are responsible for any disturbance or nuisance caused by persons staying with or visiting them.
Departure
- Rental accommodation: on the day of departure indicated on your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 10 am. Camping pitches must be vacated by midday.
- The accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition, and the inventory may be checked. You will be responsible for any broken or damaged items, and for restoring the site if necessary. These conditions also apply to camping pitches.
- The deposit will be returned to you 48 hours after your departure, after deduction of any compensation deducted, on the basis of supporting invoices, for any damage found in the inventory of fixtures on departure. The retention of the deposit does not exclude additional compensation if the costs exceed the amount of the deposit.
- If the accommodation has not been cleaned before your departure, you will be asked to pay a cleaning fee of at least €80 including tax.
- For any late departure, you may be charged for an extra day at the current nightly rate.
PETS
- Pets are accepted (except 1st and 2nd category dogs) for a fee payable at the time of booking, subject to a limit of one pet per accommodation or pitch.
- They must be kept on a lead at all times.
- They are not allowed near swimming pools, in food shops or in buildings.
- Vaccination certificates for dogs and cats must be up to date.
- Pets must not be left alone in the accommodation. Under no circumstances may they be allowed on the beds. A cleaning/disinfecting fee may be charged if the accommodation or pitches are not left in an impeccably clean condition.
IMAGE
- You authorise the Domaine de Mesqueau, as well as any person that the Domaine de Mesqueau may wish to replace you, to photograph, record or film you during your stay at the Domaine de Mesqueau and to use the said images, sounds, videos and recordings on all media (in particular on the Domaine de Mesqueau websites or pages - including Facebook and Instagram - on the Domaine de Mesqueau's presentation and promotional media and in travel or tourist guides). This authorisation applies both to you and to persons staying with you. Its sole purpose is to promote and animate the establishment and may in no way damage your reputation. This authorisation is granted free of charge, for all countries and for a period of 5 years.
DISPUTES
- Any complaint concerning the non-conformity of the services in relation to the contractual commitments may be notified by post or e-mail to the manager of the Domaine de Mesqueau.
- In accordance with the provisions of article L 612-1 of the French Consumer Code, any campsite customer has the right to have recourse, free of charge, to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of a dispute between him/her and the campsite operator. This list applies to all professionals with whom you do not have a current contractual relationship.
